Laredo Ends 2009 with Huge Market Share Growth, Continues Trend in 2010
Goshen, Indiana (March 22, 2010) Keystone RV Company’s Laredo division scored double digit market share growth in January 2010 following an annual increase of 23.5% during 2009, according to combined travel trailer and fifth wheel data release by Statistical Survey’s Inc. of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Laredo product manager Chris Lizzi says that Laredo’s focus on “Best in Class” features has paid dividends. Says Lizzi, “Our dealers and retail customers have recognized the Best in Class advantage and have rewarded us with increased sales. The new models and features introduced at Louisville have been extremely well received and we are coming out of show season with great momentum.” In order to meet this demand, Laredo is boosting production. “With the addition of new Laredo travel trailer and fifth wheel capacity later this spring, we expect our market share to continue to grow in 2010.”
Laredo group general manager Ryan Juday described the 2010 retail shows as very strong for Laredo. “We’ve seen heightened interest in our new models. For example, the 310RE fifth wheel combines great eye appeal and offers a spacious rear entertainment center complete with power-lift LCD TV. It is rapidly becoming one of our top selling models. And our Comfort Zone Climate System offers an insulation package unmatched by anyone in the mid-profile segment of the industry. On the trailer side, three of our models feature the hugely popular Laredo Outdoor Camp Kitchen which now includes a swing-out BBQ grill.”
The Laredo Super Lite series offers seven travel trailer models all designed with weight and value in mind. Ten Laredo fifth wheel floorplans are now available and include many features found in high-end luxury fifth wheel units while catering to the half-ton and three-quarter-ton truck market.
